About Sew Many Windows - Interior Design

Colleen McNally established Sew Many Windows in 2000 and is known for creating detailed, couture window treatments. Her hands on approach in selecting and fabricating drapery treatments goes into each and every design. It is that attention to detail and inspiration that keeps Sew Many Windows a growing interior design business today.

The business began out of the love of beautiful surroundings and creating with fabric. Colleen’s dressmaking and fabric savy mother taught her to sew at a young age. Searching for the perfect fabric or trim was part of her daily travels. When Sew Many Windows began, drapery design and fabrication were the main ingredients. Over time, the business evolved to include bedding and reupholstering services. Further positive input drove the expansion of furniture, floor coverings, lighting and accessories, mixing up the perfect interior design services recipe.

Colleen’s love for creating collected interiors is shown by mixing contemporary pieces with antiques, classic furniture, and custom designed window treatments. It is not uncommon for Colleen to work with a client for several years from room to room creating comfortable, livable interiors all with timeless appeal.

Colleen finds design inspiration from nature, antiques, art and each clients unique personality. She is constantly on the hunt for great new products, traveling the country looking for fabulous home furnishings with livable price points. Someday she hopes to expand her personal searches to other parts of the world.

Sew Many Windows is based out her home in Plainfield, where she resides with her husband and two Parson Russell Terrier dogs... Darby & Lilly.
